You are viewing rates from banks across Grand Prairie

Below are eighteen-month Certificates of Deposit (CD) rates from banks in Grand Prairie, Texas . Eighteen Month CDs offer a bit more yield than 1 year CDs but require a longer time-commitment. Like any CD, you should consider the trade-off between the difference in yield and the required time commitment. If an 18 month CD pays significantly above the yield of a 12-month CD, it may be worth opening.

All eighteen month bank CDs shown on BestCashCow are FDIC insured.

Eighteen month CDs can be opened in almost any bank branch as the are a mainstay of bank deposit products.

The advantages of an eighteen month CD are:

  • A slightly higher rate than 12 month CDs in return for leaving the money in the bank longer.
  • A fixed rate during the 18 month period.
  • FDIC insurance.
  • Convenience of opening and managing the CD at a local branch.

The disadvantages of an eighteen month branch CDs are:
